Inge Madlé
was born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and works full-time as an independent banknote/security designer and engraver.
Her company Madlé Design is specialized in design and security integration for a wide range of security design and intaglio (print) projects such as banknotes, stamps, coins and other security documents.
‘Creativity meets functionality’ is what defines Madlé's approach. Passion for detailed work, empathy for different cultures and interest for complexity typify her. It is the combination of these characteristics with present-day technology, authentic craftsmanship and personal creativity results in a unique, customized product that sets her work apart. The fact that this approach is appreciated internationally is reflected in the composition of her client base.
Madlé started her career in 1985 at Royal Joh. Enschedé where she worked as a designer and hand engraver for national and international clients for 20 years. She has been working as an independent design professional since 2005. Several of her banknote designs have been nominated by the International BankNote Society as 'Banknote of the year.'
